Gas prices are going up and Governor Gavin Newsom is blaming President Trump. Newsom continues to criticize the president’s decision to strike Iran last weekend, saying he is pursuing a costly, open-ended war. He also says Trump is showing little concern for American causalities or rising energy prices. On Monday, Newsom told reporters high prices at the gas pump are an “act of the Trump Administration.” Newsom recently said Trump started an illegal war to revive his sinking popularity.
Per the U.S. Energy information Administration, “Drivers in California pay the highest taxes at the pump, equivalent to $0.90 per gallon.”
