Spring 2026 is just around the corner, meaning it’s almost time for California residents to set their clocks forward for daylight saving time.
Daylight saving time starts at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 8.
In the spring, participating states turn clocks forward one hour on the second Sunday of March, causing residents to spring forward and lose an hour of sleep. Hawaii and parts of Arizona do not participate in daylight saving time.
