Edison International gave its chief executive a big pay boost despite the company’s suspected role in causing the deadly Eaton Fire. Last year, Pedro Pizarro received 16.6 million dollars in cash, stock and other compensation. That is an increase of 20% from 2024. Last year, the company’s profit increased by 200% to 4.5 billion dollars. Edison is accused of not safely maintaining its power lines, which appear to have ignited the 2025 Eaton Fire that killed 19 people in Altadena.
