Former San Francisco Human Rights Commissioner Sheryl Davis is facing time behind bars after being charged with ethics violations. Davis and ex-city executive director James Spingola were both arrested and charged Monday with multiple felonies. They’re facing allegations of financial conflict of interest with city contracts, and ethical violations. The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office says millions of dollars worth of funds from Davis’ department were improperly spent during her time in office. She and her office are also accused of accepting gifts, and failing to disclose those gifts as required by law.
