Sacramento police are investigating allegations that a federal employee dragged a protester with a vehicle near the John Moss Federal Building on Thursday night. According to authorities, the incident began when a protester confronted a federal employee who was attempting to leave the area in a car. Police say the protester tried to prevent the employee from driving away and recorded the encounter on a cellphone.
During the confrontation, the protester’s phone reportedly fell into the employee’s vehicle. Investigators say the protester then held onto the car as the employee continued driving. The protester was dragged alongside the vehicle for a short distance before eventually letting go. Emergency responders treated the individual for minor injuries sustained during the incident.
Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and review the circumstances surrounding the confrontation. No information has been released about potential charges, and the investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine exactly what occurred.
