A suspect is in custody after hitting six pedestrians in Culver City. The first two pedestrians were hit before police started chasing the suspect on Tuesday night. The other four were hit during the pursuit. A police officer also suffered non-life-threatening injuries at the end of the chase. Multiple cars were hit as well, before the pursuit came to an end in a crash in a McDonald’s drive-through. A spokesperson for the Culver City Police Department says it appears the suspect was intentionally trying to run down pedestrians. He also ran red lights and drove on the wrong side of the road. Officials add that the suspect’s vehicle was involved in a carjacking, and he may have been armed with a knife. The suspect was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and is expected to face attempted murder charges.
