Los Angeles police officers and federal agents returned to MacArthur Park for another major law enforcement operation focused on illegal drug activity. The sweep, conducted overnight by the Los Angeles Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration, brought a significant law enforcement presence to the area. Dozens of officers, along with marked police cruisers and tactical vehicles, were seen throughout the park and surrounding streets as authorities carried out the operation.
According to LAPD officials, the enforcement effort was strictly focused on narcotics-related crimes and did not involve immigration enforcement. Authorities emphasized that the operation targeted suspected drug activity in and around the park. Federal officials reported that approximately six individuals were arrested during the sweep, though additional details about the suspects or potential charges were not immediately released.
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by local and federal agencies to address crime and public safety concerns in the MacArthur Park area, which has been the focus of several recent enforcement actions.
