A new lawsuit alleges a toddler suffered a traumatic brain injury after being mishandled by a daycare worker at the Bay Club in El Segundo. The parents of the nearly two-year-old boy say surveillance video from March 2025 shows a daycare employee grabbing their son by both arms and swinging him between her legs multiple times. According to the complaint, on the third swing the worker tossed the child into the air but failed to catch him, causing him to fall to the ground. The lawsuit also alleges the employee then fell on top of the toddler. The family claims the incident left the child with a traumatic brain injury and permanent hearing loss. The lawsuit accuses the Bay Club of negligence and fraud, alleging staff misrepresented what happened by telling the parents their son simply fell and needed to be picked up, rather than disclosing the full circumstances shown on surveillance footage.
