Another lawsuit involving an injury on a rollercoaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain is scheduled to go to trial in August 2027. A woman alleges she suffered a traumatic brain injury while riding the X2 rollercoaster in February 2020. Her lawsuit names Six Flags and ride manufacturer S&S Worldwide as defendants and alleges negligence, strict product liability, and loss of consortium. The X2 has also been connected to a death in 2022 and two serious brain injuries reported in July. The ride was shut down on July 12 and has not reopened since. The latest lawsuit adds to concerns surrounding the attraction and its safety record as the legal proceedings move forward. The woman is seeking damages related to the injuries she says she suffered while riding the coaster. Six Flags and S&S Worldwide have not been found liable in the case. The allegations remain claims made in the lawsuit, and the defendants will have an opportunity to respond in court.
