Religious and political leaders from LA’s African American and Jewish communities gathered Monday and denounced racial rhetoric from a City Hall iconoclast.
“He has completely overstepped the bounds of free speech.”
LA Sentinel publisher Danny Bakewell called out Wayne Spindler, an attorney and inflammatory critic of the LA City Council; who was arrested last week.
“Why has this been going on in the chambers of the LA City Council for months if not years?”
Bakewell, flanked by city and religious leaders, called for Spindler’s prosecution for hate crimes and demanded his disbarment from practicing law. Tom Perumean, KABC NEWS.
