Indiana’s Medical Licensing Board voted to reprimand and fine a doctor $3,000 for speaking publicly after providing an abortion for a 10-year-old rape victim.

Dr. Caitland Bernard was disciplined by the board for discussing the abortion with the Indianapolis Star newspaper just days after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, according to the Washington Examiner.

In November, Indiana’s Republican Attorney General Todd Rokita had asked the state board to discipline Bernard for speaking publicly about the girl’s abortion. The 10-year-old had traveled from Ohio after its more-restrictive abortion law took effect.
