Former President Donald Trump has made his support for House Speaker Mike Johnson clear in a new interview, urging Republicans not to join the effort to remove Johnson from the job.
Speaking with radio host John Fredericks Monday, after spending the day in a Manhattan courtroom, Trump said “I stand with the speaker.”
Johnson has come under fire from some conservatives for pushing a $95 billion foreign aid package through the House and is the subject of a motion to vacate the speakership proposed by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene with support from a few other House Republicans.
