A Newport Beach lawyer is facing a lot of jail time if convicted of embezzling money from some big clients.
Steven Young Kang is accused of taking over six million dollars from three South Korean clients and pocketing the money. Thom Mrozek with the US Attorney’s office says one victim was a large food company.
Kang is facing 20 counts of wire fraud and five counts of money laundering. Kang was arrested at LAX as he attempted to board a flight to Seoul, South Korea. He is currently free on a $750,000 secured bond. Tom Perumean, KABC NEWS.
