Gun Used In Saugus School Shooting Was Ghost Gun

(Santa Clarita, CA) — New information is coming out about the weapon used in the Northern Los Angeles County school shooting.

L.A. County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says the firearm was assembled from parts and considered a so-called ghost gun without a registration number. Investigators have not figured out who put the gun together, but they are sifting through the teenage gunman’s online records. The 16-year old’s father had a small arsenal of weapons, some of which were unregistered. The teen shot several classmates at Saugus High last week, killing two before turning the homemade 45 caliber pistol on himself.
