Study Finds: 57% Unemployment Applicants Lost Job TWICE

More than half the people applying for unemployment benefits in California lost their job for the second time during the pandemic. The California Policy Lab published an analysis on Thursday saying 57-percent of Californians seeking unemployment lost their job or had their hours cut after returning to work. Co-author of the analysis Till von Wachter says employment in the state is unstable. California officials have recently restricted their previously loosened COVID-19 guidelines.
