The Florida-based budget carrier plans to resume hiring pilots and flight attendants next month in anticipation of a travel rebound after the pandemic. Spirit is first big U.S. airline to start hiring pilots and flight attendants since the start of the pandemic. It’s unclear how many employees Spirit plans to add. The airline operates a commercial fleet of nearly 160 aircraft with about 89-hundred people on the payroll.
