(Los Angeles, CA) — A judge is dismissing a lawsuit filed by former Representative Katie Hill against the Daily Mail for the publication of her nude photos. The Daily Mail had published the photos taken by her ex, Kenneth Haslep, back in 2019. While Hill claimed the publication violated state civil code, the judge cited the First Amendment, saying the photos were a matter of public concern. Hill resigned from her seat shortly after the photos came out and has since placed a restraining order against Haslep.
