AOC Among Lawmakers Spending On “Personal Security”
(Washington, DC) — New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is among several lawmakers reportedly shelling out big dollars for personal security claiming it is because of the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Among them are Republicans who voted to impeach and convict now-former President Trump, with Punchbowl News reporting the money is coming out of campaign funds and it’s legal. The list includes Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney, Utah Senator Mitt Romney and Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey. Some Democrats are also on the list, including New York’s Ocasio-Cortez along with California Representative Eric Swalwell, who was investigated for a relationship with a woman believed to be a s Chinese spy.
