Los Angeles, CA) — At this writing, a homeless encampment is no longer set up on the oceanfront handball court in Venice. It was removed this week after handball players complained the camp had taken over the court in the 18-hundred block of Ocean Front Walk. The players had gathered more than two-thousand signatures demanding the courts be cleared and the city of Los Angeles sent out crews to fence off the area. This comes as the city looks for solutions to the growing homeless population, a situation that has heightened amid the pandemic.
