(Ann Arbor, MI) — Fast food appears to be on the menu more often for a number of families during the pandemic. That’s according to Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital National Poll on Children’s Health. Half of those surveyed say their family is eating home-cooked meals more often, while 20 percent admitted fast food is being consumed more frequently. Hospital officials noted in their report the pandemic “disrupted many family routines,” and the “demands and stress of daily life required compromises.” Most parents agreed fast food is unhealthy for kids, but also OK in moderation and a good option when pressed for time.
