As of today, California’s gas tax is scheduled to increase by 3 cents
It’s happening because the Democrats in Sacramento rejected Governor Newsom’s proposal to suspend the tax hike. Drivers will pay nearly 3 cents more per gallon when the increase takes effect. California already has the highest taxes on gasoline in the nation.
