California Attorney General Kamala Harris has debuted a new database designed to deliver crime statistics statewide.
Harris calls it Open Justice. The database pulls all information from law enforcement agencies statewide and presents it on the Justice Dashboard.
Harris says Open Justice is part of her Smart-on-Crime approach and aids in identifying where law enforcement resources need to be applied in preventing crime.The portal represents an unprecedented release of criminal justice information, broken down statistically, and makes it available to general public.
