Testimony: FBI Admits “Mistake” In Labeling Of Alleged Trump/Russia “Evidence”

(Washington, DC) — The FBI is admitting agents thought its probe into possible links between Russia and Donald Trump started with the Justice Department, rather than from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. That testimony came from an agent already under scrutiny in a trial involving a Clinton campaign lawyer accused of lying to the FBI. Prosecutors say Michael Sussmann failed to disclose he was working for Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign when he told the FBI he had evidence of a Russian link to former President Trump. Testifying on the stand, the agent said the alleged evidence provided to agents was accidentally mislabeled as coming from the DOJ, and not from Sussmann.
