(Los Angeles, CA) — Today is getaway day, one of the busiest travel days of the holiday season. Triple-A estimates four-and-a-half million people will travel for the Thanksgiving holiday. More than 900-thousand of them plan to fly out of LAX. This traveler got a jump on today’s rush by leaving last night. Sunday is expected to be the busiest travel day of the holiday season. According to the Transportation Department, U.S. airlines mishandled 275 thousand pieces of luggage in July. This woman just arrived at LAX with nothing more than her carry-on.
4.5M Americans Go Through Security Checkpoints On Monday, Tuesday
(Washington, DC) — Millions of Americans are on their way home for Thanksgiving, but millions are already there. The TSA says four-and-a-half million passengers went through security checkpoints at the nation’s airports on Monday and Tuesday. Nearly two-point-three million did so yesterday. Both numbers topped the same days last year.
