Meet Scotty Peotter

The Straight Scott came about because Scott is not afraid to tell it like it is. It started with his bi-weekly commentary in the local newspaper, called The Straight Scott, where he won a O.C. Press Club award. Scott’s background is in architecture and construction. Scott got involved in politics when the Irvine city council decided to give special rights to a class of people based on who they sleep with (IE a “Gay Rights Ordinance”). Scott led a group of volunteers that successfully qualified an initiative and then got it passed by the voters, eliminating those special rights.
Scott was on the Irvine and Newport Planning Commissions for 12 years combined. He then got elected to the Newport Beach City Council in 2014. Not afraid to tell It like it is, Scott survived a recall after he said that the Supreme Court got it wrong when they “found” a right to same-sex marriage in the Constitution.
Scott is running for the State Assembly in the 73rd Assembly District. “Someone needs to step up and run against these incumbent Democrats.” The incumbent cannot define a man or woman, and she passed a new law requiring schools districts to provide free tampons in the men’s bathroom. When a legislator doesn’t know the difference between a man and a woman, how can you trust them to make any wise decisions on anything?
